Join Ericka Bastías, product manager and passionate accessibility advocate, as she shares how she turned digital products into truly inclusive experiences. From being the only woman pushing for real accessibility in her post-graduate project to co-leading company-wide initiatives, Ericka offers practical strategies, honest challenges, and proof that anyone can drive meaningful change.

Her story shows how conviction, curiosity, and listening to real users can transform the way we design and build. Inspiring and actionable, this session is for anyone who wants to make their work and their workplace more inclusive.

This 30-minute session explores the intersection of personal experience and technical practice in digital accessibility. I will present both my journey as a woman navigating accessibility advocacy in tech and practical steps for implementing and sustaining accessibility compliance within product teams.

Attendees will gain a basic understanding of what are WCAG standards, learn actionable strategies for embedding accessibility into workflows, and hear real-world challenges and successes. The talk aims to inspire and empower product managers, developers, designers, and tech leaders to champion inclusion in their own projects and organizations.

Ericka is a Product Manager at K15t, working on the Scroll Exporter apps team, where she combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical contribution. With a passion for usability and inclusive design, she stays closely involved in the product and the code whenever it helps create better experiences. Known for her proactive mindset, structured approach, and creative problem-solving, Ericka brings clarity, innovation, and momentum to shaping new ideas and product strategy. Outside of work, you can find her enjoying a good coffee, walking in nature with her beagle, or drawing.
