Dean Leffingwell is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on Lean-Agile best practices. He is an entrepreneur and software development methodologist best known for developing SAFe®, the world’s most widely used framework for business agility.

His best-selling books “Agile Software Requirements,” “Scaling Software Agility,” and “SAFe® Distilled” form much of the foundation of modern thinking about lean agile practices and principles. The founder of several successful startups, he also served as Chief Methodologist at Rally Software and, prior to that, as Senior Vice President at Rational Software (now part of IBM). He currently serves as Chief Methodologist at Scaled Agile, Inc. which he co-founded in 2011.
